The NEW DESIGN of the Cross-Spoked Duck Head is specifically engineered to match the rim profile of cross-spoked wheels that are often seen on many adventure style motorcycles.
Please note that the new Cross-Spoked Duck Head is compatible with the standard mounting arm of the Street Bike Tire Changer. We recommend buying the Cross-Spoked Duck Head Kit for faster changes between the different duck heads.
The Cross-Spoked Duck Head should be used on wheel setups where the spokes run out to the sides of the rim. Common motorcycle models with this kind of cross-spoked wheel set up include the modern BMW GS line, Harley-Davidson Pan America, Triumph Scrambler, Triumph Tiger, newer Honda Africa Twins, the Ducati Multistrada, Moto Guzzi V85, etc.
IMPORTANT: Standard duck head is not suitable for cross-spoked rims!
Always check for wear and tear on the duck head. If the duck head becomes scratched by damaged rims or dirt on the rims, then it will also start scratching the next rims.

It works for its intended purpose. A little flexible but it is a consumable part once it’s use extensively. Remember to use lots of lube

Everything worked well. The duck head doesn't fit the gsa cross spoke wheel rim perfectly. I was worried about deflecting nose of duck head enough to break it with the tire iron but on the first two tires everything worked as advertised. Time will tell?

The cross spoked duck head fit the profile of my Ducati Multistrata 950 rims and made changing tires quite easy! Rabiconda’s utube video shows exactly what steps are required and are easy to follow
This is a big help if you have spokes mounted on the outside of your wheel. I actually think this is the one to use all the time or gives more of a lip to remove the tire. Highly recommend!
I have changed 2 tires so far. A rear spoke & a front sport bike tire. Both tires changes were easy off / on. I did watch several videos to learn the technique.
I have a 23 Triumph Tiger 900 RP and it works perfectly with my cross spoke wheels. No scratches and fits exactly. Game changer for being able to switch from 50/50 to 80/30 tires at will at home.

The tool worked perfectly for my 1300 gsa. Made the job extremely easy. Setting the tire changer up for the first time just taking my time to make sure it was set up right took longer than changing the rear tire and balancing.
The alternate duck head worked for the KTM 1290 I was working on, although I don't know if it was really necessary; the standard duck head may have worked. I bought the standard kit without the bore adapter or this duck head. Once I determined that I definitely needed an adapter, it also appeared that this duck head may be necessary so I took a chance on it. I used it and it worked fine but determining what I needed was not clear.

Great Product!! I am 73 years old and replaced the tires on my 2010 Yamaha FJR 1300 with Michelin Road 6 GT's. The hardest part was breaking the bead on the first tire I then figured out the right way to do it! Love the Rabaconda

I used the Rabaconda street tire changer with the duck head for cross-spoke wheels. It seemed to work fine since I’m at the beginning of learning how to use the Rabaconda there’s obviously a learning curve, but it definitely felt good to be able to change tires on my own much easier than using several tire spoons on the floor.

The new duck head for cross spoked wheels works much better than the old design...however, the mounting holes in the new design to not match the mounting holes in the existing arm. I had to drill out the new Duck head to make it fit......Bummer

It was a night and day difference using the new duckhead on a Dunlop Trailmax Mission versus the old version for the BMW cross spoke wheel.

I used this duck head on Pan America cross spoked wheels mounted with Dunlop Trailmax Mission tires. The first was the front tire and it was a bit of a challenge because of the stiffness of the tie and the narrow drop center of the wheel. Use bead grease on the head an it is somewhat easer. The rear tire was much easier. Wider tire and drop center.

I found the re-designed head to be more difficult to use than the original. The leading edge pulls the tire further away from the rim which makes it substantially more difficult to install as the bead is stretched away from the rim. I switched back to the original cross spoke head to get the tire mounted.

The harder smoother surface of the new design glides across the rim much easier than the previous version which has a softer rubber type feel. It works very well.
