Rabaconda Rider Zach Osborne [Q&A]
Zach Osborne has been riding since he was 6 years old, and it’s been paying off. He dreams of winning a supercross and outdoor title, and with his results so far, he’s well on his way. Zach has been using Rabaconda 3-Minute Mousse Changer since September 2013. Check out our Q&A with him below.
How did you get started in riding?
I got started in riding because my uncle raced and I enjoyed watching him. My parents bought me a bike and I just progressed from there.
What do you do when you aren’t riding? What are your hobbies?
I love to fish and play golf. I also enjoy long adventures on my road bike!
What do you do in the off-season?
There is not much of an off-season here in the US. I just take a few weeks to relax and then start to prepare for the next season with a lot of long hours and time on my bike.
Do you have any pre-race rituals?
I’m not very ritualistic or superstitious, but I do always put my gear on in the same system every time and I always say a prayer.
Who is your mechanic?
Dave Feeney.
Where’s your favorite place to ride? Your favorite track?
My favorite track is Teutschenthal in Germany. I always enjoyed that track when we went there for the GP.
What was your best moment as a pro rider?
One of my favorite moments has to be winning the GP of Turkey [in 2009].
What are your riding goals?
I want to win a supercross and outdoor title, and someday I would like to race Dakar.
What is your advice for those just starting out?
Racing is a tough sport and there will be plenty of bumps along the way, but stay the course because there is a reason for everything you go through.
Why did you choose the Rabaconda 3-Minute Mousse Changer?
I chose Rabaconda because it takes so little effort! It makes changing tires at the end of a long day so much easier.
