Standard plastic duck head for the Rabaconda Street Bike Tire Changer. It's a replacement part for the original duck head. Made of plastic to reduce risk of scratching the rim.
IMPORTANT: Different, wider Duck Head Kit is needed for cross-spoked rims where spokes run out to the sides of the rim (like on modern BMW GS, Triumph Scrambler, Triumph Tiger, newer Honda Africa Twins, Ducati Multistrada, Moto Guzzi V85, etc.), where the side of the rim is thicker due to spoke placement and standard duck head will not fit. Always check for wear and tear on the duck head. If the duck head becomes scratched by damaged rims or sand on the rims, then it will start scratching also next rims.

I like having the extra duck head for my Rabaconda street bike tire changer. I may try to use the Rabaconda for fixing a flat on my van tire, so having the extra duck head would be good in case my current one doesn't survive prying the car tire over it. I made a special spacer cone to slide over my 20mm spindle to center the tire rim on it. I never force anything so I'll know right away whether it's going to work. You never know unless you try things!
I had to replace the original after 2.5 years of use and 200+ tire changes. Great durable product!
I have a 2018 Goldwing and changing the tires are a beast on this bike. I found the new duck head for the street bike tire changer made it a lot easier. I’m not sure why but had very good results with the new duck head.

I think this part of the entire kit, should be metal and coated with the material it’s made of. Mine has worn out pretty quickly and I’ve only done about 6 tire changes. I know it’s a consumable part but shouldn’t consume that often.

The duckhead got deformed after a couple of tire changes and this item is not covered by the “lifetime” warranty. I do not recall reading anywhere that some parts weee excluded from the lifetime warranty.

You guys are the best! Delivery was timely, and the product was well packaged. Thank you! I bought this as a second duck head / spare; I use the street tire changer on my 16" Harley tires / wheels. Still a tight fit on my spoked rims, but beats the heck out of using tire spoons and getting exhausted moving a centimeter at a time. With the tire changer, I can keep steady pressure on the mounting bead, use the bead locks to hold the opposite end, and "slow and steady" pressure gets the tires on.

I could not mount a rear tire on my 22 street glide, several repeated attempts, 2 drop center tools, several pieces of 2x4 to hold center, the assistance of C clamps that I used before I got the Rabaconda, and ended up having a shop put the tire on, so I figured maybe the duckhead was damaged or bent, not according to side by side comparison! This thing has worked perfectly on every tire I have presented to it, except the rear wheel on the 22 street glide special, trying to mount the pirelli night dragon 180/55-18 which is the factory size that was removed, just not the dumblop!
I had issues with the tire spoon, slipping off the duckhead. Contacted Rabaconda, and after discussing my dilema, with the duckhead. They sent me the updated version. The tire changer works perfectly now. The spoon stays on the duckhead, during dismount. I would highly recommend the Street Tire Changer model. It now works flawlessly on my Harley, and Indian bikes. It is worth the money, and the company stands behind their product.

Store owner replied: Thank you for your review Robert. The Duck Head is a wear item so it is normal for it to wear over time but it should not be breaking. Here are a few tips to help prolong the life of the Duck Head. Clean both the rim and the Duck Head before using. Be sure to mount the Duck Head flat on the rim and adjust snug to the radius of the rim. Use bead grease on the bead of the tire and also the Duck Head. When parts bend and break it is typically due to excessive force. If such force is required when mounting or dismounting a tire take a moment to assess where the problem may be. It could be that the tire is simply too cold for mounting or dismounting. Additional bead grease (mounting) or soapy water and or bead grease (dismounting) may be required. To help reduce the forces on the Duck Head, get the bead down in the drop center of the rim opposite the duck head. When mounting a tire push the bead down into the drop center of the rim in a half circle opposite the duck head where the bead is already mounted. This will provide the needed room and reduce the amount of force required to dismount and mount a tire. in fact, when the duck head broke so ridiculously, I was beside myself with rage. But after writing to the guys, they quickly explained to me that this was a consumable item and could quickly send it, I ordered 2 pieces at once, I always had one ready in reserve, and they sent it to me very quickly, although the delivery was paid, but the efficiency increased my loyalty to this company.

duck head should be made of metal. I've changed 2 tires super easy, 2 very difficult and 3 customers I've had to send away because I couldn't remove the old tire with the machine. Talked to another guy in town who has one and he said he has had the same difficulties

Also, please share the year, make, model, and wheel type of the motorcycle. Here are some tire-changing tips that may help with tire removal: Breaking the Bead: Warming the tire, ideally until it’s warm to the touch, can make the process smoother. Ensure the support blocks are positioned on the frame under the rim to prevent slipping. With the tire on the changer, spray soapy water where the tire meets the rim on the side facing up. Place the bead breaker just on the tire side of the rim and apply 10-20 lbs of pressure to the handle. This helps peel the bead back slightly, allowing the soapy water to seep in. Rotate the tire about 6 inches (the width of the bead breaker head) and apply the same pressure to that section. Repeat this process around the wheel, adding more soapy water as needed. By the time you’ve gone all the way around, the bead should be broken. With practice, this can be done in under a minute, reducing wear and tear on both your wheels and the tire machine. Removing the Tire: Use plenty of soapy water during removal, applying as needed. Ensure the duckhead is secure against the rim; it is designed to ride along the rim, reducing pressure when pulling the bead over. If you’re having trouble, position the duckhead at 6 o’clock, opposite the bead breaker, and use the breaker to hold the bead in the drop center (not too deep). This will relieve some pressure as you pull the bead over the duckhead with the tire iron. Always keep the tire bead behind or opposite the duckhead in the drop center while ratcheting during removal or installation. Additional Tip: Drop Center Tools can be helpful for stiff or short/stiff sidewall tires. Regarding your feedback about the duckhead, the Rabaconda tire changer is designed for efficiency and rim protection. I ordered the newly designed duck head and it's a huge improvement. It was quick and easy on a stiff-sidewall tire (Dunlop for a Harley). I have changed about 15 tires since I bought the Rabaconda and overall it's a quality machine. The new duck head should have been free to me though because the old one was so poorly designed. It took me over 4 hours to change the previous Dunlop because the tire lever kept slipping off the duck head. I'm very happy with the machine now.
My duck head broke the first time I used it. It was mostly my fault or maybe all my fault. I called up rabaconda and explained what happened and they sent me another one at no charge great customer service Thanks

The new design is a much needed improvement and makes beading or removing tires so easy. I actually enjoy changing tires with the Rabaconda machine it’s a great piece of gear to have on hand.
Needs a redesign i love the tire changer but i absolutely hate the quality of this duck head. thankfully it comes with a warranty. First tire i attempted to change was a 200mm dunlop which are know to be a little stiffer than others. snapped this part right at the duck head very first use. Rabaconda sent me a replacement. well last night a simple shinko 100/90-19 snapped it in the same exact spot. shinkos are soft tires. after muscling the tire off i was able to get the broken piece. once i looked at it became apparent that this was a bad injection. there were all these air bubbles within the part that would obviously make this product very weak. the first one that snapped was solid to the core but the second one was clearly a quality control issue. i would really love to see rabaconda make a metal version of this. until that moment comes i would suggest having a few replacements on standby so you aren't dead in the water.
