Rabaconda Rider Rudy Moroni [Q&A]
Rudy Moroni’s dirt bike passion was greatly influence by his uncle, Ernie. He started riding in 1995, when he was just 5 years old. After a career in motocross, Rudy decided to switch to enduro in 2011.
How did you get started in riding?
I started with a minicross 50cc when I was 5 years old in 1995.
What do you do when you aren’t riding?
I like go out with friends in the evening, and during the day I have others hobbies.
What are your hobbies?
Working out at the gym, running, MTB. I’m not able to slow down…
What do you do in the off-season?
I dedicate my off-season to preparing physically: more gym, less bike!
Do you have any pre-race rituals?
No, nothing.
Where’s your favourite place to ride?
An MX track is my favourite place to ride!
Your favorite track?
Dorno near Pavia. I love it!
What was your best moment as a pro rider?
When I won the EJ Class at GP Argentina in 2013!
What are your riding goals?
To win the Italian Enduro Championship in 2016 and finish in the top 5 in E1 in the World Enduro Championship.
What is your advice for those just starting out?
Starting with motocross in my opinion is better to have the speed and to be faster in the corners.
What’s the most memorable DNF have you ever had?
I was hit in the head with a stone in April 2013 during a training. So terrible!
