Rabaconda Rider Jamie McCanney [Q&A]

Rabaconda Rider Jamie McCanney [Q&A]

Enduro seems to run in the McCanney veins. Jamie McCanney started his dirt bike career pretty much like his brother Danny - with a small-wheeled motocross bike. Fast-forward a few years and it was no surprise to see the Manx rider become the EWC Youth Cup Champion in 2013.

How did you get started in riding?

It's been in my family. My father raced and I've been involved with bikes since I was a baby!

What do you do when you aren't riding?

Hang out with friends, mountain biking, trials bikes.

What are your hobbies?

Mountain biking, mini biking, trials biking... BIKES!!

What do you do in the off-season?

Try and go on at least one holiday. Have some fun with my friends.

Do you have any pre-race rituals?

Nope!

Where's your favorite place to ride?

Home, on the beach.

Your favorite track?

Don't have one.

What was your best moment as a pro rider?

In 2013 when I became the youth world champion!

What are your riding goals?

To perform the best I possibly can every time I put my leg over my bike.

What is your advice for those just starting out?

'Rome wasn't built in a day!' Haha, take your time and enjoy.

What's the funniest or weirdest reason you have had DNF?

WEC France 2013. The weather got so bad that the transport wasn't possible. Was funny to try and complete it with some of my friends from home.

Why did you choose Rabaconda 3-Minute Tire Changer?

It is the future of tyre changers!
